The people of Ishinomaki used to be less concerned about others, but they met, talked, and exchanged information with others through necessity, which in turn resulted in numerous communities springing up in the wake of the earthquake. The project ISHINOMAKI2.0 was launched to preserve this community spirit. Fukko Bar (Reconstruction Bar), a part of this project, has started with the aim of providing a place where people involved with reconstruction and community building can meet and exchange ideas.
